Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and
dynamic Clearing and Forwarding Manager to lead our operations team. The
successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all clearing and forwarding
activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring and
processing the financial operations, and maintaining high standards of customer service, among others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of clearing
and forwarding professionals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to
improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure staff are trained on the latest
industry standards, regulations, and technology.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee the end-to-end clearing and
forwarding process, including documentation, customs clearance, and
freight forwarding.
- Ensure all shipments are processed
efficiently and within regulatory requirements of Tanzania and
neighboring countries.
- Monitor and manage operational budgets and
financial performance.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with
clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities within Tanzania and
the region.
- Address and resolve client issues and
concerns promptly and effectively.
- Provide regular updates to clients on
shipment status and handle any escalations.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure compliance with all local and
international customs regulations and trade laws.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and
implement necessary adjustments in operations.
- Liaise with government agencies and industry
bodies to ensure smooth operations.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process
improvements and cost reductions.
- Implement best practices and innovative
solutions to enhance service delivery.
- Use data and analytics to monitor performance
and drive continuous improvement and growth.
